By the end of the day, Canes GP KC Elder Black 16U stood alone — delivering a dominant, complete performance in the title game and showcasing grit, depth, and composure across both playoff matchups to claim the 2025 Pathway Colorado Underclass Division Championship.
Semifinal 1: Canes GP KC Elder Black 16U Storms Back to Defeat ABA Gold
The morning began with Canes GP taking on a talented ABA Gold team that jumped out to a 5-3 lead after a four-run fifth inning powered by RBI hits from Liam Martinez, Radley Philipbar, and Leland Molinari.
But Canes GP answered with authority, flipping the game in the bottom of the fifth with a five-run rally that featured aggressive baserunning and a clutch two-RBI single from Noah Martin.
Carter Nelson earned the win, battling through five innings, while Gavin Seaton came in to close the door. Offensively, the team racked up 11 hits — with Seaton, Martin, Landon Worcester, and Chase Legault all collecting two apiece. The Canes defense turned two double plays to support the win and punch their ticket to the final.
Semifinal 2: ABA Navy Edges 719 16U Reichers in Tight 4-3 Battle
On the other side of the bracket, ABA Navy came from behind to take down 719 16U Reichers in a gritty 4-3 win. After trailing early, ABA rallied in the fifth inning behind hits from Dylan Gutierrez and Jayden Priest, who drove in the go-ahead run.
Marcelo Gabaldon earned the win on the mound, while Michael McMullan delivered two perfect innings in relief, striking out four. Priest finished 3-for-3 at the plate, while ABA's defense stayed sharp with zero errors and strong work from Benjamin Herman, who recorded 11 chances in the field.
Championship Game: Canes GP KC Elder Black 16U Fires on All Cylinders in 7-1 Win Over ABA Navy
In the Underclass Division Championship, Canes GP put it all together — explosive offense, steady pitching, and flawless defense — rolling to a 7-1 victory over ABA Navy.
They came out hot again, scoring three runs in the first on RBI hits from Gavin Seaton and Samuel Harris, and a bases-loaded walk drawn by Legault. In the third, Harris doubled and Legault singled to push the lead to 5-0.
Momentum never left their side. Jack Lewis sparked the fifth inning with an inside-the-park home run, and Noah Martin added a solo shot to left field in the seventh to cap off the day.
Bryce Crowder was in control from the first pitch, tossing a seven-inning complete game, allowing one run on seven hits, striking out seven, and walking four. Defensively, Canes GP was spotless — no errors — with Lewis leading the way with eight clean plays in the field.
