Contenders Take Shape as Pathway Colorado Heads Toward Bracket Play

Upperclass and Underclass Divisions - Day Two Recap

Day Two at Pathway Colorado delivered a full day of competitive baseball across both divisions. With two games played for every team, the standings are starting to take shape. Offenses picked up, pitching staffs settled in, and the urgency was obvious as teams positioned themselves heading into the final day of pool play.

Upperclass Division

Seven teams are 2-0 and have put themselves in position to control their bracket path.

Albuquerque Baseball Academy 2026 Gold followed up a strong opener with a 13-4 win over GamePrep. They've scored 20 runs through two games and continue to apply pressure on both sides of the ball.

Colorado Saints put up 11 more runs in a win over Northwest Kings and now lead the division with 28 total runs. Their offense is explosive and they're executing early and often.

Boulder Valley Baseball Prospectors handled Rawlings Tigers Black SC 12-6 and are outscoring opponents 17-6 overall. They've been balanced and efficient from the first pitch.

BDA Baseball rolled to a 10-1 win over Gojo 17U and has allowed just four total runs. They're controlling tempo and setting the tone early in games.

SW Snipers Chastain pulled out a tight 6-5 win over EPCB Diamondbacks and have shown they can win in different ways. They've played clean, situational baseball through both games.

Elite Baseball Vais stayed unbeaten with a 5-3 win over Renton Rebels. They've allowed only three total runs and continue to play sharp and disciplined baseball.

Timnath Cubs moved to 2-0 with a 6-5 win over 719 S&K. They've been steady in close games and have delivered timely offense and big outs late.

Several 1-1 teams are still in the hunt including Colorado Banana Slugs, Peak Baseball Club Black, Regis Jesuit Black 2025, Colorado Ball Players Academy 18U, and EVO Powered by Nike. One more win keeps them alive heading into bracket play.

Teams like Warehouse Warriors, Northwest Kings, Rawlings Tigers Black SC, Gojo 17U, and Colorado Ball Players Academy 17U are still looking to get on the board. Friday gives them one last opportunity to play cleaner baseball and close out pool play with momentum.

Underclass Division

Six teams head into the final day of pool play at 2-0.

DC A's Scout 16U continues to lead the field in scoring after a 16-9 win over 719 Eatman. They've put up 34 runs in two games and are consistently applying pressure inning to inning.

Albuquerque Baseball Academy 2028 White stayed steady with a 5-3 win over 505 Bombers 16U. They've outscored opponents 20-6 and continue to play complete baseball.

Colorado Ball Players Academy 16U has allowed only three runs through two games. They're throwing strikes, defending well, and doing the little things right.

Canes GP KC Elder Black 16U backed up a 17-run opener with another solid win. They've produced runs in bunches and have a +8 run differential heading into Friday.

Albuquerque Baseball Academy 2028 Gold earned a tight 1-0 win over Pueblo Azteca. They've allowed only three runs total and have shown they can win when it's tight and tense.

Southwest Snipers 2027 handled Long Island Strong 5-2 and remain unbeaten. They've played clean, low-risk baseball and continue to get big outs when it counts.

Several 1-1 teams including 719 Reichers, Colorado Mad Stix, 303 Burn, and Long Island Strong are still right in the mix. One more win gives them a shot at bracket play.

At 0-2, both 505 Bombers teams, Pueblo Azteca, Catamounts Underclass, and 719 Eatman are still working to find a full, clean game. Friday offers one final chance to reset and compete.

One More to Go

One final pool play game remains for every team before bracket play begins Saturday at all locations. Championship games will be played Sunday at UCCS and the Air Force Academy. The standings are tight, tiebreakers will matter, and every pitch Friday will shape who advances.

Coach's Corner

Phil Price from Evo powered by Nike, based out of Massachusetts, shared this message during the event: "Hey man – just wanted to reach out and tell you that so far this week you reminded me why I love Pathway events. You guys do it right. From the umpires, to fields, to social media, to your post-tournament writeup, to the end-of-day recap, to you coming down into the dugout to say hi. Man – regardless of our results, I can't wait to come back out next year with my 16U and 17U teams. The industry is getting awful, and you guys do it right. Thank you for making events that are for the kids, man. Appreciate you."
