Upstart RA Baseball Academy wins PW Fall Games Arizona

After three days in the hot Arizona sun, the PW Fall Games wrapped up Sunday afternoon with a matchup between the scrappy NoCo Roughnecks and the first year program RA Baseball Academy out of Orem, Utah. Both teams entered the PW finale with flawless records, NoCo 5-0 and RA Baseball 6-0. NoCo was impressive all weekend with gritty pitching performances and a huge weekend from 6'6" 2020 grad Jake Ticer. Ticer went deep twice on Saturday and never slowed down showing big time power and projecting as a potential DI prospect. But, it was the RA Baseball Academy squad who would finish on top with a 12-2 victory having more left in the tank in the scorching Arizona sun. The RA roster was loaded with college prospects from top to bottom led by lefty ace, Bryson Vansickle who was nearly unhittable all weekend striking out 13 of the first 15 hitters he faced. They call him "LeGrom" as he resembles Mets ace Jacob DeGrom. Offensively the lineup was loaded with some big time prospects as they pounded opposing pitching all weekend. Ty Barker, Tyson Heinz, Ethan Hixson and Bryan Rojas led the offensive charge putting up 58 runs in seven games. This organization led by Goose Kallunki and Taylor Berg is doing things the right way with player development and making sure these players get a chance to play at the next level.

The event was filled with standout players and performances which will now change the path of some of the unsigned players. Players had to grind it out in 100 plus temps for three days as 20 plus college coaches were on hand scouting talent and writing player evaluations. All evaluations will be compiled and sent to the teams in order to give feedback to their players. We will be announcing the All-Tournament team later this week so make sure to follow PW Baseball on Twitter - @pathwayBB, Instagram - @pathway_baseball and Facebook.

This event wraps us the 2018 Pathway Baseball series as we now move forward into 2019 with a full slate of Pathway events in Albuquerque, Omaha, Richmond, Northern Colorado, Atlanta and Myrtle Beach. You can see the full lineup at www.pathwaybaseball.com
