Champions Crowned at 2025 Pathway Arizona

IV Scrappers (CA) and Gameday Angels Barkley (CO) prevail on the final day of action

Peoria, AZ - With the final outs recorded, Pathway Arizona concluded its eighth year at the Peoria Sports Complex, once again delivering memorable games and championship baseball under the desert sun.

18U Division

In the Upperclass 18U division, the IV Scrappers (California) claimed the title with their trademark scrappy style of play. They closed out the weekend with a 6–3 win over the Boulder Valley Baseball Prospectors (Colorado), with both teams finishing the event at 5–1. The Scrappers leaned on pitching depth, including multiple complete-game efforts, to power their championship run.

Boulder Valley once again showed why they're one of the most consistent programs in Pathway events — physical, athletic, and built around a lineup that can hit the baseball consistently and put up runs. Paired with timely pitching, they continue to be a championship-caliber program every time they take the field.

The Jr. Sockeyes came out in a big way, finishing 3–1 in pool play and making a statement as a team to watch moving forward. Gameday Angels Schwulst put up runs in bunches and finished 3–2, while the Gameday Angels 2027 squads gained experience and earned wins against older competition.

The Sanpete Storm Chasers (2–2) played tough baseball across the weekend, and the Rawlings Tigers Black recorded a statement shutout in bracket play. The Swarm Red Elite West showed flashes of big potential with key victories, while the SoCal Hitmen battled for a tough pool win. The younger Gameday Angels groups continued their development, gaining important reps against a strong 18U field.

16U Division
The Underclass 16U division delivered one of the weekend's most dramatic finishes. The Gameday Angels Barkley (Colorado) edged Ghost Baseball 2028 (Arizona) 6–5 in a thriller to claim the championship.

Gameday carried a 6–4 lead into the bottom of the 7th, but Ghost wasn't finished. With two outs, they ripped an RBI single to right to cut the lead to one. The tying run was waved around third, but the right fielder came up firing and delivered a strike home, where the catcher applied the tag for the final out. The Angels stormed the field to celebrate an unforgettable ending.

The rest of the field brought plenty of highlights. Swarm Red Elite West opened with strong pool play performances, while Sticks Baseball/Chicago White Sox Scout Team showcased offensive firepower by scoring in double figures multiple times. USA Prime Mountain West competed hard all weekend, including a tight one-run victory over Barkley in pool play.

The Utah Scorpions and Rawlings Tigers Black each showed toughness in their matchups, while the younger Gameday Angels Cancino and Gameday Angels 2029 squads brought energy, battled throughout, and are developing into teams to watch moving forward.
