The 2025 Pathway Utah Championships brought together over 100 teams from across the country for one of the most competitive and complete summer baseball events in the nation. With elite-level matchups, deep rosters, college coaches in attendance, and high-stakes playoff baseball across three age divisions, the event once again proved why Pathway Utah continues to set the standard.
18U Division Recap
Location: Salt Lake Community College
Semifinal Game One
ONE6 Baseball (Denver, CO) 6, Marucci Athletics (Phoenix, AZ) 1
ONE6 opened Championship Day by taking down a strong Marucci squad with timely offense and a lockdown bullpen. Tied 1–1 going into the fourth, ONE6 took control with a go-ahead run and broke it open with a four-run fifth, highlighted by big swings from Jaden Stroup and Nathan Canfield. They closed it out clean and earned their first Pathway title game appearance.
ONE6 Head Coach Matt Jones:
"This is our first Pathway event and we've loved everything about it. The organization, the communication, the competition, and the quality of the fields. It's been a great experience for our guys."
Semifinal Game Two
RA Academy White 4, Utah Summit 3
RA Academy White leaned on a five-inning gem from Grady Slesk, who allowed just one hit to keep Utah Summit quiet early. Summit, who had already walked off three wins earlier in the week, made it interesting again in the seventh — drawing back-to-back bases-loaded walks to cut the lead to one. But RA Academy held firm and recorded the final out to secure a trip back to the final.
Summit featured three 2025 Pathway Prospect Games selections: Bentley Taggart, Chase Ford, and Chase Gutierrez. RA Academy White's Maddox Webb and Tristan Munson were also selected for San Diego.
18U Championship Game
ONE6 Baseball 14, RA Academy White 6
What began as a back-and-forth slugfest turned into a statement win.
ONE6 and RA Academy traded runs through five innings — 6–5, then 7–6 — in a fast-paced, physical matchup. But in the late innings, ONE6 pulled away with six unanswered runs, taking full control and securing a 14–6 victory over the five-time Pathway champs.
This ONE6 roster, led by Head Coach Matt Jones, was loaded with college-ready arms, athleticism, and real lineup depth. From top to bottom, they competed with toughness and poise, swinging it with confidence and executing in pressure moments. It's one of the most complete 18U teams to come through Pathway Utah — and they earned every bit of their first championship.

15U Division Recap
Location: Ogden, Utah
The 15U Division made its debut in Ogden this year, drawing 20 competitive teams and delivering quality baseball all week long. The championship went to GBG Utah, who brought high energy and strong fundamentals through bracket play to come out on top.
This first-year expansion of the event is a key step in Pathway Utah's long-term vision. With over 100 teams now competing across multiple locations and age levels, Ogden will continue to grow as a central part of the Pathway Utah platform moving forward.
Final Thoughts
From Pathway Baseball Director, Gino Grasso
"This year felt different — in the best way. The competition continues to elevate, and the number of college coaches using this as a major recruiting stop says a lot about where this event is going. Our staff was outstanding. From the crew we bring in each year to the local team that helps make it all run, we couldn't do this without them. I'm proud of what we're building, and even more excited about where it's heading."
Congratulations to our champions:
- ONE6 Baseball – 18U
- Utah Dirty Birds – 16U
- GBG Utah – 15U
To every team that showed up with purpose — thank you for making 2025 a championship week to remember.
