Wyatt Moore, a Silver Lake, KS native, played two years of college baseball at Sterling College, in Sterling, KS. At Sterling, he was part of a consistent winner as the team’s he was part of clinched the NAIA Opening Round both seasons he was there. After a career-ending shoulder surgery, he transferred to Wichita State where he received his B.A. in Sport Management and graduated Cum Laude. He also received a M.Ed. in Sport Management the following year.
In the summer of 2021, Moore was hired as a hitting coach, outfielders coach, catching coach, and 1st base coach for the New Market Rebels in the historic Valley Baseball League. For the summer, Moore helped oversee an offense that had the Rebels ranked as the #1 offense in the league through the halfway point of the summer, but they ended up finishing as a team ranked 3rd in Hits, 4th in 2B’s, 2nd in 3B’s. 3rd in Team Batting Average .263, and they finished 2nd in the league with 115 SB’s out of 137 attempts. While as an assistant with the New Market Rebels, Coach Moore assisted in the development of over 15 D1 athletes, including 2 players that have now signed Professional Contracts (Tyler Robertson - 14th Round San Diego Padres) and (Jackson Lancaster - Ogden Raptors of the Pioneer Baseball League).
In 2019, Moore was hired as the assistant baseball coach at Arizona Western College, an NJCAA Division 1 program in Yuma, Arizona. While at Arizona Western College, Moore was the assistant hitting coach, outfielders’ coach, 1st base coach, as well as the Director of Strength and Conditioning for the baseball team. Prior to Covid-19 ending the season, the Arizona Western Baseball team was 17-7 and had multiple wins over nationally ranked programs. While at Arizona Western, he assisted in developing 5 1st Team All-Region/All-ACCAC players, and 1 2nd Team All-Region/All-ACCAC Player.
In the summer of 2019, Moore served as the Hitting Coach for the Park City Rangers in the KCBL, a collegiate baseball summer league in Wichita, KS, where it was his first college coaching experience.
Prior to moving up to the collegiate level, Moore spent two seasons as the Assistant Baseball Coach/Hitting Coach at Belle Plaine High School in Belle Plaine, KS. While there, Belle Plaine saw their offense ranked in the top 15 in all classes in multiple offensive categories, thus helping lead the Dragons to their first winning season in school history.
Prior to coaching at Belle Plaine High School, Moore spent one semester as a Graduate Manager for the Wichita State Shocker Baseball Team where he was surrounded by the likes of Alec Bohm, #3 overall pick by the Phillies, Greyson Jenista, 2nd round pick by the Braves, and many more. He also spent one season as a Volunteer Assistant Coach at Wichita Collegiate High School, in Wichita, KS where he helped lead the Spartans to their first winning season in the three years prior.
Moore will serve as Assistant Baseball Coach/Recruiting Coordinator for the Red Devils.
