Coach Tyler Herbst begins his seventh season with the Reivers and 21st in college baseball. In 2019 Coach Herbst was named the ABCA/Baseball America NJCAA Divison 1 Assistant Coach of the Year.

Coach Herbst serves in numerous roles within the baseball program. Working with the team’s hitters, outfielders & infielders, Recruiting Coordinator, and Academic Coordinator. Offensively the Reivers have been a staple at the top of the national rankings in numerous offensive categories.

Prior to Iowa Western Coach Herbst served as Recruiting Coordinator/Pitching Coach at Indiana State University. In five seasons the Sycamores saw the program's longest string of consecutive winning seasons in 15 years. During his time on the bench at ISU, the program reached new heights.

In eight seasons at his previous stops, Coach Herbst has achieved, accomplished, and coached many great individuals.
