Seth Sorensen

Sorensen enters his first season as an assistant coach with the Lassen baseball program in the 2021-22 school year.

Prior to Lassen College, Sorensen worked at Indiana Tech and Ivy Tech Community College as the pitching coach.

 At Indiana Tech Sorensen led a pitching staff that had 507 strikeouts ranking 10th in all of the NAIA while the staff posting a 4.97 ERA with a batting average against of .257. He Coached two All Conference Pitchers and had two sign professional contracts. In a shortened season he guided the Ivy Tech pitching staff to a 3.84 ERA. While Coaching at Indiana Tech and Ivy Tech, Sorensen coached for a local travel baseball organization called the Indiana Chargers for four years. He was a head coach for all four years and served director of player development for two years. 

Sorensen was born and raised in Central Utah he graduated from Payson High School. After Graduation he started his collegiate career at Taft Junior College in California. In his freshman year he received the Most Improved Player Award and after his sophomore season he received the Bakersfield Jockey Club Award for outstanding citizens and athletes. He was also named to the Central Valley All-Conference Team for Relief Pitcher and was named to the Academic All-Conference Team. He was also named MVP of his team. During his time at Taft Junior College, he earned an Associate's Degree in Physical Education and Health.

After Taft Junior College, Sorensen transferred to Indiana Tech where he had a very successful career. He helped lead the Warriors to a WHAC Championship his junior year and his senior. During his Senior year led his team to a WHAC Regular Season Title and a WHAC Tournament Championship before taking them to the NAIA World Series. Post his career with the Warriors, Sorensen signed an Independent Professional contract with the Utica Unicorns and graduated from Tech with a Bachelors in Business Administration.Â
