Aiello

Nick Aiello

Nick Aiello begins his 11th season with the College of Southern Idaho baseball program as a pitching coach.
Aiello, who pitched for the Golden Eagles in 1999, came to CSI from the College of Southern Nevada where he assisted in 2010-2011.
"Nick has an outstanding reputation as one of the top pitching coaches in the Las Vegas area," said CSI Athletic Director Joel Bate. "He is highly respected for his knowledge and his ability to get the best out of his players. His ties to the Vegas baseball community have opened up recruiting relationships in that area. We are lucky to have a former Eagle with that kind of talent working for us."
Aiello came to CSI the first time in 1999 after transferring from Grayson College. That year, he earned Region 18 Tournament MVP honors in leading CSI to the Region 18 Championship. He graduated from CSI with an associate's degree in liberal arts.
After CSI, Aiello transferred to University of Nevada, Reno, where he was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2001. He played in the Rays minor league organization for three years.
Since then, Aiello has also coached in the Durango High School legion program and has served as an associate scout for the Tampa Bay Rays.
Aiello and his wife Jodi have three children - Averi, Abbi and Luciano.
