Keith Gorman

Keith Gorman is beginning his first second year as Barton Head Baseball Coach in 2021.  Last season, the Bulldogs finished 12-12 overall in Gorman's initial (abbreviated) season.

Gorman took over as Bulldogs' mentor after leading Cumberland County (N.J.) College to the 2019 NJCAA Division III National Championship.  For his efforts, Gorman was named the 2019 ABCA/Diamond National Coach of the Year for NJCAA Division III.

Gorman led the Dukes to a 47-5 record in 2019 and sported a career mark of 316-91 (.776) after eight seasons at the helm for CCC.  The 2017 squad went 55-8 on the season, ranked No. 1 in the nation and finished third at the College World Series while the 2014 team (49-10) was the national runner-up.

Gorman, who was also Director of Athletics and Student Life at Cumberland County since 2013, was the NJCAA National Coach of the Year in 2019 and a two-time Region XIX (2017, 2019) and ABCA Regional (2014, 2017) Coach of the Year.  In all, the Dukes won three regional and three league tournament titles.  Gorman also coached six players who eventually landed professional contracts and 17 players who signed with NCAA Division I institutions.  Gorman mentored five All-Americans, three region pitchers of the year and one region player of the year as well.

Gorman also worked at Holy Spirit (N.J.) High School for 10 years (2004-13) and led the baseball team to a 120-54-1 (.690) record over seven seasons.  The prep squad won three conference championships and finished a school-best 25-5 in 2011.  At the high school, Gorman also served as Assistant Principal of Athletics and Student Activities and Director of Athletics. 

Gorman, a native of St. Joseph, Missouri, played collegiately at Kansas City (Kan.) CC and North Central (Mo.) College before earning his bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri and master's degree from LaSalle University.  Gorman and his wife, Emily, are the proud parents of three children:  Leanna, Ellee and Beau.
