Evan Brandt is in his fifth year as head coach of baseball at Finlandia University. The Lions have set 12 school records during his tenure.
In 2019, Joey Krug became the first player in school history to earn all-conference honors for the third time. In 2018, Finlandia won 10 games (second most in school history) and qualified for the post-season for the first time. At the CUNYAC Tournament, the Lions were the number six seed and finished third.
A native of Eau Claire, Wis., Brandt earned two letters in baseball for the Lions. He holds the single-season school record for walks in a season.
Brandt was the assistant coach for the Lions from 2014-17. He helped in the development of Luke Paul, 2016 AD3I Player and Pitcher of the Year.
He has a B.A. in Business Administration and Sports Management from Finlandia.
