Walk-Up Song:
“Boom” by P.O.D.
Notable Strengths as a Player:
I have strong command on the mound, multiple pitches to fall back on, and the ability to pitch backwards in the count.
Favorite Baseball Memory:
Throwing a no-hitter against our rival to clinch the League Championship.
Favorite MLB Players:
Pre-Game Mental Preparation:
I believe being physically prepared gives me mental confidence. When I’ve done the work ahead of time, I can focus solely on my game plan and the things I can control. I also have a superstition of eating gummy bears before and during the game.
Training and Conditioning Approach:
I throw daily to keep my arm in shape, incorporating long toss and pitch spin work depending on the day. I also include weight training and medicine ball work. As a two-sport athlete, I rely on basketball practice and games to maintain cardio and agility.
Handling Setbacks and Failures:
After a poor outing, I reflect on three areas:
-
Physical – Was I physically prepared?
-
Stuff – How was my pitch movement and location?
-
Choice – Did I make the right pitch selections?
I try to be honest with myself, learn from the experience, and move on. Sometimes things are out of my control, so I stay confident and ready for the next opportunity.
Staying Motivated During a Long Season:
Strong relationships with my teammates and being prepared to support them keeps me motivated throughout the season.
Leadership Qualities:
I lead by example and by lifting up my teammates. I’m always ready to have their backs.

Favorite Thing About Playing Baseball:
The competition, the camaraderie with teammates, and the opportunity to travel.
Advice for Aspiring Players:
Stay consistent with your training and establish a routine.
College Baseball Aspirations:
My first goal is to find a school where I fit in and where the coaching staff believes in me and can help me develop to my full potential. Ultimately, I want to be the starting pitcher in a national championship game.
