How do you prepare mentally before a game?
Pray


Approach to training and conditioning:
I lift 3-4 times a week, do arm care 6x a week, throw 4 times a week, and see my pitching coach 2 times a week. I also do mechanic-specific reps 3-4 times a week with video recording and feedback from professionals. Sundays are reserved for rest.


How do you handle setbacks and failures on the field?
I have a short memory and can quickly refocus on the next play at hand.


How do you stay motivated throughout a long season?
I expect to have a long baseball career. For me, baseball never stops, and I treat each season like it's just the beginning.


Leadership qualities I bring to the team:
I am good at uplifting my teammates and making sure I get the best out of them at all times.


Hobbies outside of baseball:
Playing sports like basketball and golf, reading, swimming, and hanging out with family and friends.


Educational goals:
Go to law school.

Striking people out looking.


Advice to a young player aspiring to play at my level:
Find the aspect of the game you love the most and focus on that. Baseball is a tough sport, but if it’s not fun, you're not approaching it the right way.

To play at a high academic university.
