Making a diving play to win a U-Triple-S-A tournament.

How do you prepare mentally before a game?
I stretch well, quiet my mind, and focus in on the game.
What is your approach to training and conditioning?
In the summer, I hit the weights hard. During the season, I focus more on agility while still maintaining strength training, but with less intensity.
How do you handle setbacks and failures on the field?
I brush it off quickly—gotta have a "goldfish brain" and move on.
How do you stay motivated throughout a long season?
I keep my goals in check and remind myself of the big prize at the end, which right now is the high school state championship.
What leadership qualities do you bring to the team?
I’m a good motivator, and I make things happen on the field to hype up my teammates.
What are your hobbies outside of baseball?
Spending time with friends, driving around listening to music, playing pick-up basketball, and occasionally playing video games.
What are your educational goals?
I aim to be the best version of myself on the field and an even better student in the classroom. That means straight A’s and being a good role model.
What is your favorite thing about playing baseball?
The thrill of outplaying other teams.
What advice would you give to a young player aspiring to play at your level?
Work harder than everyone else, but don’t be a show-off—no one likes those kids.
What are your college aspirations regarding baseball?
I plan to earn a degree in physics and possibly pursue a career in engineering.
