Mental Preparation Before a Game:
I put on light, chill music and sit quietly, imagining all the good things that are going to happen during the game. I take stretching and warming up very seriously because if I’m not serious about that, I won’t be ready for the game.

Approach to Training and Conditioning:
Practice how you play. I hit pretty much every day and take every rep seriously, making sure I know what my plan is for each rep I take.

Handling Setbacks and Failures on the Field:
I try not to let offensive struggles bleed into my defense, or vice versa. There are many more opportunities to come in a game or season. I have to let go of the minor mistakes I make.

Staying Motivated Throughout a Long Season:
I’m playing a game I absolutely love, so win or lose, I’m still getting the opportunity to play. If I ever get sick of it, I step back and ask myself why I play this sport.

Leadership Qualities:
I’m a vocal leader who wants the best for everyone. My goal is always to win over the crowd, but never come off as arrogant.

Hobbies Outside of Baseball:

  • I love working on off days to get better.
  • Hanging out with friends and family.

Educational Goals:
I’ve had a 4.0 GPA all through Jr. High and I’m striving to keep it that way.

Favorite Thing About Playing Baseball:
Baseball is something I don’t take for granted. It teaches me so much, especially how to handle failure—because you will fail more than you succeed in this sport. This game is more than just a game to me; it’s life.

Advice for Young Players Aspiring to Play at Your Level:
Keep working no matter what. Failure is what’s going to make you better in the long run. If this game was easy, everyone would play it.

College Aspirations Regarding Baseball:
I’ve had a dream my whole life to play baseball at the University of Ole Miss or the University of Coastal Carolina, and then to get the chance to play in the MLB.
