Peoria Sports Complex Updated Rules and Regulations
Social Distancing and COVID-19 Rules Will Be Enforced
Please follow these protocols throughout the Pathway Arizona 2020 Tournament at Peoria Sports Complex:
- Maintain physical distancing, to the extent possible.
- Reduced occupancy and capacity based on the size of the activity location with special attention to limiting areas where large groups can congregate.
- Implement comprehensive sanitation protocols, including sanitizing gym and sports equipment before and after every use.
- Provide disposable disinfectant wipes, cleaner, or spray so facilitators can wipe down frequently touched surfaces on gym and sports equipment.
- Restrict the sharing of water bottles, towels, or any equipment that’s not necessary to be shared.
- Contactless check-ins.
- Minimize player contact by eliminating team/player handshakes and team/player high fives. No group prayers between teams on the field. Create plan to keep social distancing between teams in effect beyond the field of play
- In dugouts, discontinue use of water coolers that are provided by tournaments, parks or teams. Players should bring their own, personal cooler instead of using a team cooler. Players should plan on bringing an individual water bottle.
- All staff, players, umpires and spectators will need to comply with entry and exit signage posted throughout the facility.
- Limit the number of parents/guardians/spectators for each youth to two (2).
- The managers meeting at home plate should be limited to one coach from each team plus the umpires. No players at plate meeting. Eliminate the meeting if possible.
- Where possible, consider options for limiting both the pitching and the scorecard exchanges, in order to reduce person-to-person contact.
- Ban the use of sunflower seeds.
- Entry times will be strictly monitor by tournament staff.
- Bleachers will be reserved for players and coaches only.
